Replogle Lancaster Globe

The Lancaster Floor Globe is a great value for the money. It is made by Replogle Globes, which has been making globes, and only globes, for over 75 years! For the stand, they use alder wood with a dark cherry finish which looks very nice. It does not have a cheap look to it at all. This globe looks great in a living room, office or family room.

It has approximately 4500 place names so this is a very functional globe in addition to being a nice piece of furniture.

Here is Replogle Globes description of the Lancaster globe:

Family heirloom. Classic in design, this traditional chair side floor globe with dark cherry finish and decorative carved accents enhances the rich copper hues of our 12" diameter bronze metallic Lancaster globe with metal die-cast meridian. Families can enjoy this heirloom for years to come.

It is available in English or French languages. The English version comes with the Bronze Metallic globe ball. The French version comes with an antique (tan) globe ball.

It is available in two models - raised relief and an illuminated Lancaster globe. The illuminated model will usually cost about you about $65-$80 more than the raised relief model. Keep in mind, the illuminated model will have a power cord coming out of the bottom of the globe ball.
