Replogle Wright Globe

The Wright globe is part of the Frank Lloyd Wright series of globes from Replogle Globes. This globe stand is an authentic reproduction from a drawing found in the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation archives. It is an unidentified concept for one of the Prairie Homes that Mr. Wright designed in the early 1900's. The only marking on the drawing is in his handwriting and says, "Something like this." The proportions, and interpretation, of the drawing were calculated based on the scale of other drawings from this time period.

The antique ocean globe ball on the Wright floor globe has raised relief and is 16" in diameter while offering approximately 8000 place names. It stands 39" tall and has a total width of 23".

Currently, the Replogle Wright globe sells most places for just under $800.00. Obviously, at this price it's not for everyone but if it's within your budget it's a great globe to have in your office or home.
